The Royal Canadian Legion ~ Norwood Branch #178, received it's Charter on February 23, 1946.

The original Charter restricted Ordinary membership to Canadian Veterans of Ukrainian descent.

This restriction has since been waived, but the Branch retained some Ukrainian traditions such as cabbage rolls, perogies, and kobasa!

The building that houses the Branch was completed in 1958 with the majority of funding donated by members.

Like its parent organization, Norwood Legion has extended its interest beyond the care and welfare of veterans and their families, to the best interests of the community at large.
